Man arrested after bomb squad negotiations in Western Sydney

A man has been arrested in Western Sydney following negotiations by the NSW bomb squad.

The man allegedly laid in the middle of Windsor Road at the James Rouse Drive overpass in North Mead about 5am this morning.

He was surrounded by police as they attempted to negotiate with him, partially closing the Cumberland Highway. The man was removed from

the road and arrested.

Roads remain closed.
