Canberra suburban workspace takes out Sydney design award

Suburban cool and professional class has proved a winning formula for JAGA Workspaces with the Belconnen coworking space taking out gold last week in the DRIVENxDESIGN Sydney Design Awards.

With everything from trendy kitchens, bespoke offices, and contemporary shared spaces, JAGA is a workspace that is built for our increasingly flexible work future.

Celebrating the win, JAGA Founder and CEO Swaroop Kaushik said now, more than ever, employers needed to think about how to create work environments that support people to achieve balance and thrive.

“With the work from the homeworld we live in forcing us to see the good and bad sides of remote work, we are being shown that flexibility and connection are a driving force in employee wellbeing, satisfaction, and productivity,” Swaroop said.

“JAGA provides businesses, government agencies, and consultants with a flexible platform to customise the office space they need; while also providing the benefits of break out spaces, eye-catching meeting rooms, and a yoga/wellbeing studio.

“And what’s best is that this space is located in the suburbs, helping people in Belconnen gain access to a workspace that is close to home and reduces their commute.”

JAGA’s fashionable and functional design truly highlights Canberra’s move from ‘small town to cool capital’.

Project creator Axiom Workplaces was commissioned with designing the premier office with a brief to create a contemporary multipurpose arena that focused on efficiency, flexibility, connectivity, and space utilisation.

A visit to space shows that the brief was not just met, but exceeded, and JAGA is proud to have won the Sydney Design Award.
