Woman's body found in bin outside WA hospital

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a young mother whose body was discovered inside a bin in the Pilbara region in Western Australia.

Britney Watson, 18, was found unresponsive by family members about 4am today.

Police say the family members put her in a wheelie bin and then used that to push her to Newman Hospital in Newman, about 50 metres from their home.

Emergency staff called police and the woman was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Ms Watson had two young children.

A man who is known to her is being questioned by police.

Homicide detectives are due to arrive in Newman tonight.
