The queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under cashing in on Instagram

RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under is set to premiere on Saturday May 1, only on Stan.

And head of the show’s debut, digital marketing agency Pilot Fish Media, have revealed which of the queens could be earning the most from Instagram posts.

The agency predicts Art Simone, who boasts 142,000 followers on the social media site, has the potential to earn $918.53 per post.

From Geelong in Victoria, Art Simone has played roles in Australian feature films, theatrical shows, television programmes, and commercials, as well as being awarded Drag Performer of the Year for the last two years running.

Last year, Art travelled to Los Angeles and New York, representing Australia in the world’s largest drag convention, RuPaul’s DragCon.

Following behind Art Simone is Karen From Finance, with the potential to earn $597.29 per post.

With just over 69,000 Instagram followers, Karen has built an international fan-base, and toured the world with her singular brand of office-themed character drag.

Those expected to rake in around $200 per Instagram post are Maxi Shield, Kita Mean, Scarlet Adams, Coco Jumbo and Etcetera Etcetera.

However their earnings, as well as following, are expected to increase once the series debuts next month.

The series will be the first time there has been a local version of the hit Drag Race franchise here in Australia.

RuPaul himself will be hosting, with drag icon Michelle Visage and Australian comedian Rhys Nicholson by his side on the main judging panel.

Pop sisters Kylie and Dannii Minogue will also star as celebrity guest judges.

The Stan Original Series RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under will premiere on Saturday May 1, only on Stan. The British and American versions of RuPaul’s Drag Race are available to stream on Stan in Australia.
