The “Harry Potter” Cast Is Reuniting For An HBO Reunion Special, And We’re All Going Back To Hogwarts

It’s official: a Harry Potter reunion is happening! 20 years after the first film in the franchise was released, the cast are set to get back together for a special show, and we can’t wait.

The 20th anniversary reunion episode, titled ‘Return to Hogwarts’, will see some *huge* cast members regroup to discuss HP two whole decades after Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was first released. They’ll be sharing brand new behind-the-scenes insight into how the series was made, as well as taking a look back at the eight films, and it all sounds very nostalgic.

Plus, there’s not long to wait at all! The special episode will stream at midnight on 1 January 2022, available on HBO Max. The perfect way to welcome in the New Year if you ask us.

As for who’ll be appearing, HBO have confirmed that main cast members Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are taking part, and we can’t wait to see Harry, Ron and Hermione return as an iconic trio.

The three actors will be joined by filmmaker Chris Columbus, as well as a giant list of Harry Potter cast members from across all eight films. Names include: Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, and Evanna Lynch, plus more.

Sounds like we’re all in for a treat then!

If that wasn’t enough, HBO has also dropped a teaser trailer for the reunion featuring clips from across the series, and it’s taking us right back to 2002.
