After being closed to traffic for many hours, footage from the Sydney Harbour Bridge scene of Ryan Gosling’s forthcoming movie The Fall Guy has surfaced.
In a video that was shown on Sunrise today, Ryan Gosling or his stunt double can be seen clutching onto a shovel on the back of a truck as it races across a bridge as sparks fly on the ground under him and other vehicles go by.
It follows the actor’s and his stunt double’s appearance on set while conversing while donning the same outfit and red bomber jacket from the movie.
Up until 10 a.m. today, A-lister Ryan Gosling and the movie’s production crew occupied the Sydney Harbour Bridge, diverting motorists around the closed-off bridge.
Gosling is now filming The Fall Guy, a cinematic version of a 1980s television series about a crime-fighting stuntman. He arrived in Sydney last September with wife Eva Mendes and their two daughters.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the famous Harbour Bridge will appear in the movie and was shut down in both directions from 3am until 10am for a key sequence. From 5.30 am until 10 am, it’s footpath and bicycle route were both blocked.
Production was also closed the Cahill Expressway Circular Quay Overpass from 1am to 12.30pm, and the Cahill Expressway walkway was closed from 2.30am to 12.30pm.
It’s not the first time Gosling’s film has taken over the streets of Sydney’s CBD in recent months.
Late last year, the Baby Driver star filmed scenes in Elizabeth Street and Circular Quay, and in November, Martin Place was similarly blocked off for the film, with excited Sydneysiders catching a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the set.
Gosling and Mendes have been adjusting to life in Australia since their arrival with their two young daughters, Amada, 6, and Esmeralda, 8.
The high-profile duo have been spotted multiple times in Sydney, with Mendes photographed at a park in Rose Bay, trick-or-treating with her kids and incognito husband on Halloween in Bondi, and shopping in Paddington in November.
